Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actor just after emigrating to United States. She gained notoriety for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Also, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub is was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her fled antisemitism when she was just two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. Due to financial hardships in the family, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she dropped out and got a GED. She went on however to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. With the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied Improv comedy.
