Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew: Adr gndlsmn; born 5 December 1997) is an Israeli model and beauty pageant winner. She was Miss Israel's first place runner-up and won the title of Miss Universe Israel 2017. Adar participated in the Miss Universe 2017 Pageant in Las Vegas but didn't place. Gandelsman, Miss Universe Iraq 2017 took a photo with Sarah Idan during the pageant. Idan and her family fled Iraq in December of 2017. They were upset when she took a picture of Miss Israel with Miss Israel. Miss Israel served as Miss Universe Iraq at the time. Gandelsman hails from Ashkelon and was born in Israel to Ashkenazi Jewish parents. [1][22 Adar is her Hebrew name and the month she was born.
